Application Process
You can access the Application for Student to Ride School Bus at this 2025-26 School Bus Handbook.pdf or at this eTrition link. Hard copies are also available at the KHIS Front Office. The application period for Quarter 1 begins on July 14. Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis.
Parents/guardians can find bus stop information online at https://www.hawaiischoolbus.com
Students with a Geographic Exception (GE) will be considered for school bus transportation on a space available basis. This requires a hard copy CS-101 form (only available in the Front Office) to be submitted to the Front Office with the Application for Student to Ride School Bus form. Both forms will be held for up to 4 weeks pending bus seat availability. Please note that students with a GE are not eligible for free bus service. Parents must provide alternative transportation while the application approval process is pending.
Application Periods
Quarter 1: July 14, 2025 - August 15, 2025
Quarter 2: September 22, 2025 - October 17, 2025
Quarter 3: December 12, 2025 - January 09, 2026
Quarter 4: March 02, 2026 - March 27, 2026
Applications must be submitted on a QUARTERLY basis and will not be accepted outside of the indicated periods so please plan accordingly. NO ANNUAL PASSES FOR STUDENTS.
