Kahuku High & Intermediate School is happy to announce that Michelle Tevaga has been named as the new head coach of girls volleyball.

Tevaga returns to her alma mater, where she was a key player of the 2003 Hawaii State Girls’ Volleyball Championship team.

Tevaga attended Fresno State University on a full-ride volleyball scholarship where she earned scholar-athlete honors. She returned to Hawaii to finish her collegiate career playing at BYU-Hawaii. In 2006, Tevaga was named to the NCAA DII First Team All-American squad. Coach Tevaga knows what it takes to succeed in the classroom and on the court, “I know the importance of academics and being able to balance athletics and academic responsibilities.”

Tevaga has accumulated 7 years of coaching experience including club, high school and collegiate levels. We are excited to welcome Coach Tevaga to our Red Raider family, the experience and passion she brings will add to the tradition of competitive volleyball at Kahuku High & Intermediate school.

We would also like to thank Coach Mounia Tachibana for her years of service and dedication to our student-athletes, we wish her well in her future endeavors.
