On August 6th, we screen Wonder Park (PG), an animated film perfect for families at 5:30pm.
On August 13th, we will have two events at 5:30pm. The first will be the movie Pokémon Detective Pikachu (PG) and the second will be the first part of a two-part sewing program in the Kahuku Cool Lab making SLIPPAH MOPS. Space and supplies limited. Please reserve your space online via the librarieshawaii.org website.
On August 20th, 60 years after statehood, we are happy to partner with Hawai'i Council for the Humanities to host UH Mānoa Alumni Dean Itsuji Saranillio author of Unsustainable Empire: Alternative Histories of Hawai'i Statehood published by Duke University Press in December 2018. Dean Saranillio is an Associate Professor of Social & Cultural Analysis at New York University. The Friends of the Library Kahuku will provide light refreshments for this discussion.
 
On August 27th, we will have two events at 5:30pm. The first will be the Dumbo (PG) and the second will be the second part of a two-part sewing program in the Kahuku Cool Lab making SLIPPAH MOPS. Please see August 13th event information.
 
Keiki Music with Aunty Ilene will be on Monday, August 19th at 10am.
Lego Club (drop-in, free play) is scheduled for Wednesdays from 2 to 4pm.
Story Time is scheduled for all open Fridays of August at 10am with Alexis Pope on the 2nd and Michelle Henderson on the 9th, 23rd, and 30th.
Our library will be closed on Friday, August 16th.
