Objective: I can graph a quadratic equation in Vertex form.  I can evaluate vertex, x & y intercept, and zero's from the vertex or quadratic form.

Today we investigated quadratic functions using tables to graph. 

 

Objective: I can graph a quadratic function using a table, and identify symmetry, patterns, and vertex point from a completed graph.  

 

Classwork: Graphing Quadratic 1 worksheet

Homework: Graphing Quadratic 2 & 3 worksheets

Two worksheets:

1) Adding & Subtracting Polynomials Problem #1-10 on page two 

 

2) Multiplying Polynomials: complete any part of worksheet not finished in class.  (File labeled: Mult Poly 1 & 2)

 

Each class will be given about 20 minutes to work on their homework.  This is to ensure that the students can complete assignments before leaving the classroom.

Today we extended our learning in class from Function 5.1-5.5.  I gave each student a booklet with 6 different stories and we Read, Highlighted, Identified, and Answered questions about graphs.

On Monday, December 1, 2014, Linear 6 - 8 Assessment was started.  All students will be given either Tuesday (Pd. 3, 5) or Wednesday (Pd. 2, 4, 6) to continue to complete Linear 6-8 Unit Assessment.  I have up loaded the Review that was given out as a study Guide for the students to complete and prepare for use on the test.  

 

Student Unit Packet (Linear 6, 7, 8) will be due and collected on Tuesday and Wednesday.  

Linear 8.5, discuss and completed as classwork.
