There is only a few days left of school. There is 1 quiz, 1 project and a mini-project left to complete before the FINAL PROJECT and INTERVIEW. Please keep up with everything.

 

Week 6 [April 27-May 1]

Remember this week you have Project #3 World Culture Story. It is due on Friday and there is no extension to this project. Make sure the rubric is followed.

Project #4 Music Video will be due on May 14th, so get started ASAP.

Remember, WORLD CULTURE STORY video is due next week FRIDAY. There is no exception to this due date, and no extensions. All language students are completing this project. Soon after, Project #4, Music Video is due on the 14th of May. Keep up with the projects. Your Final has also been placed online as well.

4th Quarter Week 1 March 23-27

Project #1 is due on April 2nd. It will require you to carry on a conversation with a classmate as your parent. Please use 好き & weather words.

You will also need to begin with World Culture Story and MTV video projects, which are both due in early May. Begin now or you will fall behind very quickly.

Week 8 Assignments March 2-6

1) We have a Quiz this Wednesday set #13, please study these words

2) World Food Fest is on Friday March 6th. Make sure you have enough food for about 100-120 people. Provide only a sample, not a large plate of food. See rubric attached.

3) ALSO, Next week all students will be taking the last quiz Quiz Set #14, completing Project #4, and performing the 3rd quarter final. Please prepare efficiently and diligently.

Week 7 Homework Feb. 23-27

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.  Project #4 which is one of the hardest projects of the year, will be moved from next week to MARCH 9-11 because of the school-wide testing on March 3rd. Be alert and aware of time and prepare the best you can for this project. Weather is continually changing so work on all phrases [see attached rubric]

2.  Don't forget that World Food Fest is coming up. You will need a group of no more than 5 students to work with, contribute money and/or ingredients, and set up time to make the food item you choose to sell at Food Fest. See attached rubric for details.

Project #4 has been announced as one of the hardest project of the year. Please use more time to acquire the phrases and get the memorized. The rubric is attached and should be printed along with the important phrases to be able to successfully complete this project with a good grade.

Week 4 February 9-13

Don't forget project #3 is due this week on THURSDAY. Rubric was posted last week and several weeks ago. Project #4 is will be performed in class the 1st week of March. A helping sheet with many of the useful phrases is attached here. The rubric will be posted next week. PRINT a copy for yourself. You will need it.

This Friday, FINAL interviews will begin. Study VOCABULARY to be able to prepare for the interview. Next week, your FINAL performance of the 1st semester will be on either WEDNESDAY or THURSDAY. You only get one chance to get this one correct. PLEASE PREPARE WELL FOR THIS FINAL ASSESSMENT.

FINAL for Quarter 2 will be in two weeks on Dec 16th. This project will require the whole month of December to prepare for. Please spend at least 30 minutes a day working on memorizing phrases and creating your POWERPOINT. See attached RUBRIC.

Reminder TUESDAY is Veteran's Day and no school, so Tuesday's schedule is moved to Thursday.

We are now working on WORLD DANCE FEST [WDF] which will be a group project, but still each person will receive an individual grade depending on what they personally do. Performances in class will be either Nov 20th, 21st, or 24th.

A mini-project will be due on Nov 26th just before Thanksgiving.
