LOOKING FOR A PASEFIKA CLUB ADVISOR.... 
Aloha parents, faculty and staff. We would like to thank Agalelei Taosoga for being the fearless leader of 
our Pasefika Club for the last couple of years. What a great club and experience for our children to 
represent their culture and learn and appreciate other cultures. We are currently looking for a Pasefika 
Advisor for the rest of this school year. If you are interested in applying please call or make an 
appointment to see Mr. Kalama in R103. This will be open until the 19th of February(808) 305 7300

CELEBRITY TUXEDOS CAN COME DO MEASUREMENTS AT OUR SCHOOL... 
Celebrity Tuxedos is willing do measurements at schools. They will be here this Friday during out lunch 
time Prom Fashion Show with a sign up sheet. If you would like to save time and have them measure 
your son for a tuxedo have him sign up at their table during lunch. They will come back and do the
measurements on a different day depending on if we get enough boys signed up to make it worth their 
drive.

PROM PERMISSION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE NOW IN R103..
in order to purchase your prom tickets you need to have your whole permission slip filled out and signed. 
Get on that quickly. Tickets go on Sale for $70 per person February 16th to February 26th and then if 
there are still tickets left over the last week of ticket sales is February 29th - March 4th and the price will 
go up to $80 per person. Get your tickets early as they run out quick and you don't want to get stuck like 
we were during Winter Ball.

Why: To provide your input on what work our school is doing and represent the parent community voice

MAY DAY AUDITIONS ARE COMING UP QUICKLY... 
If you are planning on trying out for May Day court you need to come to at least 3 practices to be 
considered for King or Queen. There are 5 practices left. Come see Mr. Kalama in R103 for more details. 
Next Practice is Tuesday after school. There are only two Senior Men who have shown up. Where are 
our proud Red Raiders?

PROM APPLICATIONS ARE NOW DUE...  
Tickets for Prom will go on Sale next week Tuesday, February 16th, in Q2 with Aunty Raynae and the 
Prom Committee. Tickets are $70 per person and your applications need to be FULLY filled out in order
to purchase them. Remember that all participants must be either JUNIORS or SENIORS in HIGH 
SCHOOL in order to attend. Prom is March 16th at the Hawaii Prince Hotel and will be from 
5:30-10:30PM. Dinner, Dessert and Dancing included in the price of admission.

ACT COLLEGE ADMISSIONS TEST 
ALL JUNIORS will take the real ACT college admissions test on March 1st!! Please prepare 
accordingly!

GREAT ALOHA RUN FINAL NOTICE 
1.  Reminder  Everyone who signed up with Kahuku High for the Aloha Run, go to the NBC on Ward Ave 
and pick up your running packet  on FridaySaturday or Sunday
2. If you need Mrs Wells to pick up, your packet, please bring your Aloha run post card that has your 
running number to Mrs Wells in R204 by noon Friday.
3. The bus leaves at 4:45 a.m. in front of Kahuku. You must be at Kahuku by 4:30 am.  
4. If you signed up and  will not be running please let Mrs Wells know.  I have others who would love to 
run in your place.

your Clearance Forms to participate.

Spring Sports:
All those trying out for all the Spring Sports.  
Boys Volleyball, Tennis, Judo, Girls Softball, Golf, Girls WaterPolo, Track and Field.
Turn in your Physical and Risk Form to the Trainer, then you will receive a Clearance Form to 
participate.  Turn in Clearance Forms to the coach.  GO BIG RED !!!  Thank you

Red Raider Nation let's support the Foodland Shop for Higher Education Program and get our KHIS 
Seniors Scholarships. The program begins on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 and ends on Tuesday
March 15, 2016.  When shopping at any Foodland Super Market designate Kahuku High School our 
registration number is 7535!

SCHOLARSHIP BLITZ EXTRAVAGANZA!! 
Seniors and their parents - join us on Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm in Q2 to complete your 
sholarship applications.  Representatives from Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii Community Foundation, 
Liko 'Ae, & University of Hawaii Systems will be on campus to assist you with completing your

THE FULLBRIGHT JUNIOR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 
    The Fulbright Junior Internship Program 

    The Korean-American Educational Commission (KAEC), which administers the Fulbright program in Korea, is pleased to once again to invite students from to apply for the Fulbright Junior Internship Program (FJIP).  The program, held in conjunction with our annual Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) Program orientation, and our summer Fulbright English Program (FEP), is a three-week cultural exchange program through which middle and high school students from the U.S. and Korea serve as a team of junior leaders.  FJIP participants can meet and interact with students from all over Korea, learn leadership skills, exchange culture, and have the chance to work with Fulbright Program grantees.  The Fulbright English Program will be held at Jungwon University in the Goesan area near the city of Cheongju.  See Mrs. Fonoimoana in Q2 for additional information.
